Kete Ora Trust funded Rototuna Farm Trust to run three workshops in August and September 2022 at Earth Stewards Farm in Hamilton.
Introduction to Vegetable Growing was led by Peter and Gill Bacchus and Coral Remiro. This workshop explored how organic and biodynamic methods benefit the earth and produce more nutritious vegetables. Included an afternoon stir and spread of preparation 500.
Compost Making and Weed Management, led by Peter Bacchus and Coral Remiro. This was a demonstration of compost-making, how the compost preparations are made and how they work. Weed management includes the making of weed teas to put nutrients back into the soil.
Benefits of a Growing and Eating many different vegetables and herbs led by Gill Bacchus and Coral Remiro including taste tests, which were greatly enjoyed.
