This was a practical hands-on experiential two-day workshop connecting Biodynamics and Hua Parakore with the aim of making them more accessible within the community. Hua Parakore is a kaupapa Māori system and framework for growing kai developed by Te Waka Kai Ora (National Māori Organics Authority).
The workshop was led by Jessica Hutchings and Rachel Pomeroy and held on Jessica’s farm, Papawhakaritorito, in Kaitoke. The two days were ”grounded in community through whanaungatanga and manaakitanga. There was a sense of gratitude of being able to gather in person due to Covid, and hope for soil and food secure futures that work with nature not against her.” Read the full report here (PDF, 6.15 MB).
